Skunk

Skunk, carnivorous mammal of the weasel family renowned for the foul stink it produces when threatened. There are 10 species distributed throughout the Americas. All are boldly patterned in black and white. Most are nocturnal and feed on insects, mice, and eggs. For defense, a skunk can expel fine jets of foul-smelling liquid from scent glands under the tail to a distance of 10 ft (3 m) with a remarkably accurate aim.
