Sisyphus



Sisyphus, in Greek mythology, founder and king of the ancient city-state of Corinth. Zeus, the head of the gods, was angered at Sisyphus and condemned him to push a heavy rock to the top of a hill. When it reached the top, it rolled back down, and Sisyphus was compelled to repeat the task for all eternity.
