Sioux Falls



Sioux Falls (pop. 123,809), largest city in South Dakota, on the Big Sioux River in the southeastern corner of the state. Incorporated as a city in 1883 it is the seat of Minnehaha County. Sioux Falls is the livestock and poultry center for the surrounding area. Its chief industries are meat packing, food processing, and the manufacture of metal and wood products.
