Silky terrier

Silky terrier (formerly called Sydney Silky), breed of toy dog from Australia. Weighing up to 10 lb (4.5 kg), the silky terrier has long dark hair with tan markings. The tail is normally cut, or “docked,” and the ears are erect and pointed. It was bred in the early 20th century from the Yorkshire and Australian terriers. Like most terriers, it is attentive and friendly.
