Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, seven magnificent structures of the ancient world, as listed by Greek scholars. The oldest and only to survive are the pyramids of Egypt. The others were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the 30-ft (9-m) statue of Zeus at Olympia, the great temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Pharos lighthouse of Alexandria.
