Scottish terrier



Scottish terrier, or Scottie, breed of dog with short legs, stocky body, large head, and a gray, tan, or black wiry coat. Scotties originated in the Scottish highlands in the 19th century, where they were used to hunt small game. They average 10 in (25 cm) at the shoulder and 18–22 lb (8–10 kg).
