Barbara Ann Scott

Scott, Barbara Ann (1928– ), Canadian figure skater. In 1947 she became the first non-European to win a world title in figure skating, and in 1948 she won the Olympic gold medal. She then became a professional skater, featured in Hollywood Ice Revues, and subsequently, a competitor in equestrian events.
