Joan Violet Robinson



Robinson, Joan Violet (1903–83), British economist, writer, and advocate of Keynesian economics. A colleague of John Maynard Keynes, she worked with him to provide a new economic model based on increased government spending as a solution to depression and unemployment. Her work helped to shape the economic policies of the 1930s and has been an important influence on economic thought.
