Roadrunner



Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus), large, slenderly built bird of the cuckoo family, found in arid regions in the southwestern United States and Mexico. Roadrunners fly weakly but have strong legs and run very rapidly, up to 15 mph, catching lizards and small rodents.
