Abraham A. Ribicoff



Ribicoff, Abraham A. (1910– ), U.S. public official, widely known as a champion of consumer protection. A Democrat, he was a Connecticut representative (1949–53), governor (1955–61), and senator (1963–81). Under President Kennedy he was secretary of health, education, and welfare (1961–62).
