Ribera, Jusepe de (c.1590–1652), Spanish painter who lived after 1618 in Naples. His work, influenced by Caravaggio, combines naturalism and mysticism, as in the Martyrdom of St. Sebastian (1630) and The Penitent Magdalen (c.1640).
