Reichstag
Reichstag, imperial parliament of the Holy Roman Empire and, from 1871 to 1945, Germany's lower legislative house (the upper house was called the Reichsrat). The ruling body of the Weimar Republic, the Reichstag lacked real power under the Nazi regime.
