Friedrich Ratzel
Ratzel, Friedrich (1844–1904), German geographer. With works such as Anthropogeography (1882–91), Political Geography (1897), The History of Mankind (1896–98), and Lebensraum (1901), he strongly influenced later German geopolitics.
