Knud Johan Victor Rasmussen



Rasmussen, Knud Johan Victor (1879–1933), Danish explorer and ethnologist. From Thule, Greenland, he undertook many expeditions to study Eskimo culture, including the longest dog-sled journey known, from Greenland to Alaska (1923–24), described in his Across Arctic America (1927).
