Randolph Air Force Base

Randolph Air Force Base, center for recruiting, assigning, and training of personnel for the United States Air Force; Air Training Command headquarters. Founded in 1930, this base is located in south central Texas, near the city of San Antonio. It occupies about 3,000 acres (1,200 hectares).
