Rain dance



Rain dance, ritual Native American dance ceremony performed to induce rain. These various ceremonial dances are performed by different tribes (mainly the Pueblos) during the planting and growing seasons, to help provide rainfall necessary for good harvests. The dances are directed at spirits that control natural phenomenon.
