Radiator

Radiator, device in which steam or hot water circulates and gives off heat. Through a process called convection, hot air expands and rises as surrounding cooler air is drawn in. This constant circulation of air can take place within the radiator tubing in convector radiators; radiators also heat air via direct radiation. Radiators are found in homes, offices and stores, as well as in automobiles and other engine-powered vehicles.
