Quayle, Dan (James Danforth Quayle; (1947– ), U.S. vice president (1989–93) with George Bush. Quayle served as U.S. senator from Indiana (1981–89), following two terms in the House of Representatives (1976, 1978). Quayle and Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts developed (1982) the Job Training Partnership Act.
