Pyrethrum



Pyrethrum, any of a group of flowers (genus Chrysanthemum) that produce insect powder. Similar in appearance to the daisy, pyrethrums have stems measuring up to 1 ft (30 cm). The insecticide is developed from the powdered or dried flowers and is considered one of the least harmful to humans and animals. Kenya is the world's chief exporter of pyrethrum.
