Pyramid



Pyramid, polyhedron whose base is a polygon and whose sides are triangles having a common vertex. A pyramid whose base is triangular is termed a tetrahedron (or triangular pyramid); one whose base is a regular polygon is termed regular; one with a square base, square; one with a rectangular base, rectangular.
