Pu Yi



Pu Yi (1906–67), as Hsuan T'ung, the last emperor (1908–12) of China. The Japanese installed him as Emperor K'ang Te of the puppet state Manchukuo (1934–45). He was captured by the Soviets and returned to China (1950), where he was imprisoned until 1959.
