Prévost d'Exiles, Antoine François, or Abbé Prévost (1697–1763), French writer, priest, and adventurer. Manon Lescaut (1731), a love story, is the masterpiece among his novels. It is the basis of operas by Jules Massenet and Giacomo Puccini.
