Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States, formed in 1983 when the Presbyterian Church in the United States and the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. were united. Local congregations are organized into regional groups called presbyteries, which, in turn, are organized into larger synods.
