Powers, Hiram (1805–73), U.S. sculptor. He worked in Florence, Italy, from 1837. His work includes the neoclassical Greek Slave (1843) and busts of eminent Americans, including Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.
