Potto



Potto (genus Perodicticus), various slow-moving African primates related to the lorises. The potto has large, staring eyes, thick, woolly fur, and a short tail; spines from the neck bones protrude through the skin. It leads a solitary life, emerging at dusk to search for fruit, insects, lizards, or birds' nests.
