Beatrix Potter

Potter, Beatrix (1866–1943), English author and illustrator of children's books. Her works, illustrated by herself, have become classics, including The Tale of Peter Rabbit (1902), The Tailor of Gloucester (1903), Benjamin Bunny (1904), Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle (1905), Jemima Puddle-Duck (1908), and Pigling Bland (1913).
