Pikes Peak



Pikes Peak, mountain, 14,110 ft (4,301 m) high, in east-central Colorado, part of the Rocky Mountains, near Colorado Springs. It was first explored by Zebulon Pike in 1806. Its solitary position and commanding vistas make it a popular tourist attraction.
