Pickerel



Pickerel, carnivorous freshwater fish, smaller relative of the pike (family Esocidae), also with a snout like duck's bill. The grass's, or redfin, pickerel, found from Nova Scotia to Texas, grows up to 2 ft (0.6 m), and the chain pickerel, of the eastern United States grows to 14 in (36 cm).
