Perseus

Perseus, in Greek mythology, son of Zeus and Danaë, a mortal. His grandfather, King Acrisius, set him adrift at sea with his mother after learning from an oracle that his grandson would one day kill him; King Polydectus rescued them. Perseus beheaded Medusa, the Gorgon, and saved Andromeda from being sacrificed to a sea monster. Perseus later accidentally killed his grandfather, realizing the oracle's prediction.
