Pegasus

Pegasus, in Greek mythology, the winged horse, represented by a large constellation of stars whose most famous feature is the Great Square, picked out by four bright stars, one at each corner, appearing high in the sky during fall in the Northern Hemisphere. Springing from the blood of the beheaded Medusa, Pegasus caused the fountain of Muses to flow and was associated with poetry. The hero Bellerophon rode Pegasus but was thrown to his death when he tried to reach heaven.
