Parrots have large heads, short necks, heavy, hooked bills, and strong feet for climbing and grasping. Popular as cage birds (especially those that learn to mimic speech), some species are parakeets, cockatoos, and macaws. Parrots range in size from the pygmy (3.5 in/8.7 cm) of the South Pacific to the Amazon parrot (40 in/100 cm) of South America.
