Theodore Parker



Parker, Theodore (1810–60), U.S. liberal preacher and social reformer. A Unitarian pastor in West Roxbury, Mass. (1837–46) and Boston (1846–59), he championed the abolition of slavery, prison reform, temperance, and education for women.
