Pangolin

Pangolin, any of a group of mammals found in Asia and Africa whose bodies are covered by hard, overlapping scales. Only their undersides are soft and hairy. Many pangolins (genus Manis or related genera of the order Pholidota) climb trees, and some can hang by their tails. They have strong claws for tearing open the nests of termites and ants, and long tongues for drawing them into their mouths.
