Pamirs

Pamirs, mountainous region of central Asia, predominantly in Tajikistan, but extending into Afghanistan, China, and Kashmir. The mountains form a hub from which radiate the Hindu Kush, Karakorum, Kunlun, and Tien Shan ranges. Communism Peak (24,590 ft/7,495 m) and Lenin Peak (23,508 ft/7,165 m) are the highest.
