Paca



Paca, any of a genus (Cuniculus) of large, nocturnal, plant-eating rodents of the tropical forests of North and South America. Pacas measure up to 30 in (75 cm) in length and weigh as much as 22 lb (10 kg). They are hunted as food by humans, and their hides are used for leather.
