Oxalic acid



Oxalic acid (COOH)2 ·H2O, colorless, poisonous, organic acid. Found in many vegetables and in the rumex and oxalis plants, it is also produced by the body. The synthetic type is used to process textiles, as a paint-stripper, and in laundries to remove stains.
