Owyhee Dam



Owyhee Dam, concrete arch gravity dam on Oregon's Owyhee River near the Idaho border, completed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in 1932. The dam, 417 ft (127 m) high and 830 ft (253 m) across, creates a reservoir 52 m (84 km) long and has the capacity to irrigate 16,000 acres (6,400 hectares) of farm land.
