Orcagna (1308–68), painter, sculptor, and architect of Florence, Italy, leading artist in the Byzantine Gothic style. His work includes the Strozzi Chapel altarpiece in Santa Maria Novella and the Or San Michele tabernacle, and the facade of Orvieto Cathedral.
