Patrick Bruce Oliphant



Oliphant, Patrick Bruce (1935– ), editorial cartoonist whose work is seen in about 500 U.S. newspapers and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1967. Born in Australia, he worked for The Advertiser there, and in the United States for the Denver Post and the Washington Star. His character Punk the Penguin usually delivers Oliphant's mocking comments about the cartoon.
