Georg Simon Ohm



Ohm, Georg Simon (1787–1854), Bavarian-born German physicist who formulated Ohm's Law, from his studies of electric current. He also contributed to acoustics, recognizing the ability of the human ear to resolve mixed sound into its component pure tones.
