John O'Hara
O'Hara, John (1905–70), U.S. journalist and fiction writer known principally for his vigorous accounts of urban and suburban life in the United States. His novels include Appointment in Samarra (1934), Butterfield 8 (1935), and A Rage to Live (1949).
