Oder River



Oder River, European water route forming a large part of the border between Poland and Germany, economically essential and mostly navigable on its 551-mi (886-km) length. Originating in the Oder Mountains of Czech Republic, it joins the Neisse River near western Poland and drains into the Baltic Sea through the Stettin Lagoon. Along the river are major cities in Poland, Germany, and Czech Republic.
