Nuremberg Trials



Nuremberg Trials, series of war crimes trials held in Nuremberg, Germany (1945–49) by the victors of World War II: the United States, USSR, Great Britain, and France. The accused, including Joachim von Ribbentrop, Hermann Goering, and Rudolf Hess, were tried for crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. In total more than 200 Germans were tried in 13 separate trials from October 1945 until 1949.
