Neutron bomb

Neutron bomb, variant form of the hydrogen bomb in which an atomic-bomb trigger is surrounded by non-fissionable material, the result being a much smaller blast than in a hydrogen bomb, along with a rain of neutrons that would leave non-living structures relatively intact while killing living things. Although theoretically feasible, no neutron bomb has ever been tested.
