Neurosis



Neurosis, mild mental disorder involving any of a number of varied symptoms, including phobias, anxiety, psychosomatic illnesses, and compulsive behavior. Neurosis is commonly distinguished from psychosis in that psychosis entails a loss of touch with reality, whereas neurosis does not.
