Sea of Azov

Azov, Sea of, arm of the Black Sea in southwest RF, joined to that sea by the Strait of Kerch. Maximum depth is only 50 ft (15 m); length is 200 mi (322 km), maximum width 80 mi (129 km). The Don River flows into the eastern end of the sea, known as the Gulf of Taganrog.
