National Congress of Parents and Teachers

National Congress of Parents and Teachers (National PTA), U.S. organization whose major objective is to provide the best possible education for children from elementary grades through high school. Members also work for laws to protect children in the community, for parent education, and for drug and alcohol prevention. PTA groups are in 50 states, Washington, D.C., and in Europe for U.S. military personnel.
