Nadir Shah



Nadir Shah (1688–1747), shah of Iran (1736–47), often called the Napoleon of Iran. He created an Iranian empire reaching from the Indus River to the Caucasus Mountains by ruthless military conquest, including the capture of the Delhi (and its famous Koh-i-noor diamond and peacock throne).
