Mulberry



Mulberry, medium-sized deciduous or evergreen tree (family Moraceae) that carries edible fruits, such as berries, figs, and breadfruit. The red mulberry grows in the eastern states and the Mexican mulberry in the southwest. The black mulberry is grown in Asia for its fruit. The leaves of the white mulberry of the Far East form the food of the silkworm.
