Miguel Ángel Asturias

Asturias, Miguel Ángel (1899–1974), Guatemalan writer and diplomat. He won the Lenin Peace Prize in 1966 and the Nobel Prize for literature in 1967. His books The Cyclone (1950) and The Green Pope (1954) attack the exploitation of Guatemalan Indians.
